François Simon is a postdoctoral researcher at the Centre for Sustainable Urban Development (CEDEUS) and Architecture and Urban Planning programmes at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
He is an engineer from Heriot-Watt University of Edinburgh (Scotland), and holds a MSc in Energy Engineering, and a PhD in Engineering applied to energy and buildings from Universidad de Granada (Spain).
RESEARCH AREAS
As an expert in sustainable energy and energy efficiency in buildings, he is particularly interested in the development of material technologies and energy services such as heating, cooling, ventilation, heat recovery, as well as passive building design solutions. He is committed to improving sustainability in the building industry, he has a background in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, and his academic publications are linked to clean energy generation and efficient energy use.
