Associate professor and the director of the Department of Construction Engineering and Management at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile; director of the Interdisciplinary Centre for Productivity and Sustainable Construction; director of IABP and IBPSA-Chile, and head of the Diploma in Corporate Sustainability and Innovation at the same university.

 

He is a civil engineer and holds a master’s degree in Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and a PhD in Building Engineering from Concordia University (Montreal, Canada).

 

RESEARCH AREAS

His areas of expertise are sustainable building design, assessment of the impact of complex building envelopment on building and city performance, zero emission buildings and neighbourhoods, industrialised buildings and sustainability, modelling of energy performance and visual/thermal comfort of buildings, and multi-objective optimisation.
