Knowledge Transfer and Training

Knowledge Transfer and Training

The Knowledge Transfer and Training area aims to democratize access to scientific knowledge. Through didactic tools and communication resources, it brings research on Sustainable Urban Development (SUD) closer to communities, professionals, and decision-makers. This approach seeks to generate meaningful learning, influence public policies, and foster attitudinal changes that promote fairer and more sustainable cities.

Based on scientific evidence, this area creates and disseminates innovative pedagogical tools (courses, workshops, games, podcasts, infographics, videos, comics, and books) to strengthen the capacity for action of different urban actors. This process fosters collaboration among communities, institutions, and experts, promoting knowledge-sharing and informed decision-making.

Lines of Action:

Scientific Transfer and Dissemination: Organization of activities such as fairs, workshops, and meetings to bring research closer to various audiences.

Didactic Innovation in Education for Sustainable Development: Creation of methodologies and playful tools (games, urban pedagogy, interactive experiences) for environmental and urban education.

Production of Educational Materials: Adaptation of research results into accessible and attractive formats for diverse audiences.

Training of Decision-Makers and Communities: Providing training on key sustainable urban development issues to enhance public policy advocacy.

Through these initiatives, Transfer and Training promotes the appropriation of urban knowledge by citizens. Thus, it encourages active participation, critical thinking, and the creation of more equitable and sustainable environments.
