Associate professor at the Department of Public Health of the Faculty of Medicine of Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and a former president of the Chilean Society of Epidemiology (SOCHEPI). She is an associate professor at the Fondap Advanced Center for Chronic Diseases (ACCDIS)

 

She is a veterinarian and holds a master’s degree in Biological Sciences and a PhD in Public Health from Universidad de Chile.

 

RESEARCH AREAS

 

Her work explores chronic diseases associated with environmental exposures, capacity building in healthcare teams with a focus on environmental exposures and population health impacts, and the strengthening of environmental epidemiology.

 

She is the Principal Investigator of the Fondecyt Regular project 122680: «Chronic kidney disease: understanding its causality in agricultural communities» (2022–2026).
