Associate professor at the Faculty of Architecture, Urban Planning and Geography of Universidad de Concepción.
He is an environmental biologist from Universidad de Chile, holds a master’s degree in Environmental Management and Territorial Planning from the University of Barcelona and received his PhD in Geography from Universitat de Barcelona.
RESEARCH AREAS
He specialises in the environmental assessment and management of urban and peri-urban landscapes using spatial analysis tools, remote sensing and management of ecosystem services provided by natural landscape structures such as squares and parks. His recent focus has been on the consequences of land use and land cover changes and the role of vegetation in improving people’s well-being.
