Hugo Silva is an assistant professor at the Department of Transport and Logistics Engineering and the Institute of Economics of Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and visiting researcher at the Institute of Complex Engineering Systems.

 

He is a civil engineer and hold a master’s degree in Transport from Universidad de Chile, and a PhD in Economics from the VU University Amsterdam.

 

RESEARCH AREAS

He has researched problems in the fields of transport economics and urban economics with an emphasis on the study of transport policy. In addition, he has an interest in regulation and industrial organisation.
