My Neighbourhood as a Learning Experience Educational Material

My neighbourhood as a learning experience is a collaborative tool generated together with Secondary Education teachers to continue the teaching process in the COVID19 context, marked by the implementation of online classes and hindered by the digital gap, which translates into a low connection of students to classes. 

The proposal consists of a Remote Learning Plan (PAR), with interdisciplinary and situated learning activities, incorporating the neighbourhood as a space to generate learning, taking advantage of the multiple connections that the city has with; music, historical memory, senses, geography and written and oral communication, allowing the students’ experience to be linked to the immediate environment. This proposal was jointly developed by teachers from the José Manuel Balmaceda Secondary School in the Independencia Municipality (RM) and professionals from CEDEUS’ Active Citizenship Programme.
