INFOGRAPHICS

Among the materials in the teaching guides of the Active Citizenship curricular proposal, there is a series of Infographics directly linked to the research carried out by CEDEUS.

Complete Streets This infographic shows the features that should be integrated into the design of streets to ensure the well-being of pedestrians, cyclists, motorists and public transport users. These characteristics promote the street in its potential use as a public space for meetings and not only as a mere road.

Energy Efficiency The infographic shows how energy consumption is distributed at regional and national level, detailing its distribution in households and its variation in different areas of the country.

Pollution The infographic defines the concept of pollution used by the Environment Act and shows the existing forms of pollution, according to their impact and which are the main routes of exposure for people.

Scale and Population Density The infographic presents the concepts of city, metropolis and conurbation as the basis for understanding the concepts of scale and population density. It gives examples of how these concepts are interrelated with cities in Chile and other countries.

Population Segregation The infographic compares three cities, considering the various definitions of segregation and delves into socio-economic classification as a way of measuring and defining socio-economic groups, which allows ranking households in Chile according to their level of well-being.
