The Complete Streets project is a key strategy to improve sustainability and fair transport in Chilean cities.
Main research objective
To define, test and achieve best practice results and, based on these, provide recommendations for the planning, design and implementation of Complete Streets strategies for small, medium and metropolitan cities. The project will identify triggers for sustainable urban development in three fields of action: (i) collaborative governance and behavioural change; (ii) decision-making criteria for successful strategy implementation; and (iii) key design and operational elements at street and network level.
