CLIMATE-RESILIENT CITIES

To define impacts and strategies for building energy and water efficiency, and the mitigation of urban heat island and heat wave effects under a future changing climate.

Main research objective

This research aims to investigate and identify sustainable strategies that promote efficient and effective interactions between energy and water systems within the built environment, under the context of the climate crisis. By analysing the potential of energy-efficient technologies, renewable energy integration, water conservation measures, green infrastructure, and resilient design approaches, this study seeks to contribute to the development of practical solutions for constructing resilient cities that can adapt and thrive under the challenges posed by climate change.
